I guess King Tut was murdered by Ay, the person who buried him and that's why the people hated him and killed him after he became a king for only 4 years. (Well, I could be wrong.) This happened about 3326 years ago.
The Egyptians believe in after life which they believe it is permanent and forever good. To grant a pass for after life, the gods need to weight the person's heart, if it is heavy it means he had done a lot of bad things or sinful, a god's pet will eat his heart and the person will die immediately. If it is light means he had been a good man during his life and will be allowed to go to the after life.
Not like the Ramses family, some pharoah's brother are jealous and cruel, they killed their own brother just because they wanted to be a king ( It is unbelieveable !!). For example Osiris was killed by his brother, he was put into a sacorphygus and thrown into the Nile River. However, Osiris became the king of the Underworld. I would imagine he will not allow his brother to go into the after life.
